OUR MISSION
GLORIFY GOD
We believe that glorifying God is our primary purpose as individuals and as a church. God created us for his glory, and we bring glory to him by obeying Him and enjoying Him. As a church, we prioritize what we do by discerning whether it is something that brings glory or dishonor to God. If we could only have one part of a mission, it would be to glorify God in everything we do.
MAKE DISCIPLES
One of the specific ways that we bring glory to God is by obeying his command to ‘Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you.’ We believe that being a disciple means that you are a follower of Christ and as a follower of Christ, you must be obedient to worship him, obey him, and commit yourself to making more disciples. This understanding of discipleship is what drives many of the efforts of our church. We believe that it is our duty to make disciples through ministries such as: Sunday School, Life Groups, Men’s/Women’s discipleship, Sunday Morning Worship, Wednesday Services, and one-on-one discipleship efforts. We’re committed as a church to help make disciples that are equipped to go out and make more disciples.
ADVANCE THE GOSPEL
But we believe that our efforts of spreading the gospel isn’t limited to just our immediate surroundings. We believe that as disciples of Christ, we are commanded to go out and take the gospel to the ends of the earth. Acts 1:8 says that we are to be God’s witnesses in ‘Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.’ We believe this is one of the many instances where God calls us to spread the gospel in our own backyard, in our region, and across the world. As a church, we take this calling seriously and seek to provide intentional missions opportunities in Franklin County, Missouri, the United States, and throughout the world. One of our primary missional partnerships currently is us partnering with a missions organization to reach an unreached people group in central India.
